Donation bins for The Magic of Christmas are conveniently placed throughout our store. Guests are welcome to contribute by bringing in new, unwrapped toys for donation. Every Christmas Eve, Calgary Transit buses are magically transformed into “reindeer buses” and loaded with hundreds of gifts. Volunteers, adorned as Santa and his elves, join in the festive journey. Make a Festive Centerpiece

Creating your own seasonal arrangement from cut greens such as cedar, pine, fir, spruce, and other materials is a great way to express your creativity. Attend this workshop to have fun while making seasonal preparations, whether you celebrate the winter solstice, Christmas, Chanukah, or just love to decorate your home for the festive season.

This workshop covers:

the history of decorating our homes with greens for the winter festivities

elements of design for cut green arrangements

types of greens that can be used and their uses in arrangements

how to create a professional and well-crafted arrangement

tips and tricks that make creating easier

decorations to add festive glitz or a nature-themed arrangement

care for your seasonal arrangement so that it lasts

Participants should wear old clothes or bring an apron. If you own bypass pruners, please bring them. Gloves will be provided. (or bring your own)

Participants will have the opportunity to do a little shopping towards the end of the workshop.
