Care & Maintenance

Relatively low maintenance flowering shrub that requires water as needed and will benefit from application of mulch to control weeds and maintain moisture and temperature.

Spirea bloom on new growth, so prune during dormant season in late winter or early spring if required. If overgrown or sparse, can be rejuvenated by cutting back hard after bloom period. Deadhead spent blooms for tidier appearance.

Provide good air circulation by spacing plant appropriately, and provide preferred growing conditions to prevent powdery mildew and other pest problems.
