Fruit Tree Pollination
In order to have fruit it is important to understand pollination. There are three different types of pollination:
Cross Pollination – two plants are required to set fruit. The plants must be compatible with overlapping bloom periods to ensure pollination will take place.
Partially self-fertile – a single plant can set fruit but yields will be minimal, having two compatible plants will get you increase your yields.
Self-fertile –a single plant is capable of fertilizing its own flowers and setting fruit.
